About the Park
A 20-mile regional park with hiking trails ranging from flat creekside walks to steep 1,000-foot elevation climbs, offering panoramic views of Mt. Diablo and the Bay Area. Trail signage is poor and cattle trails overlap the main routes, requiring careful navigation. Bring substantial water as ridges become very warm, trails turn muddy and slippery when wet, and rattlesnakes and poison oak are present. Dogs are allowed on some paved trails.
